Gutter Maintenance

Most "roof leaks" we're called to investigate actually start with a blocked gutter or a sagging downpipe. Stay ahead of it.

Worker cleaning a residential gutter

A clogged gutter doesn't just overflow during a storm — water that pools in the gutter creeps back under the lowest line of roofing, soaks the fascia and runs down inside the wall. Most homeowners only notice the damage when it's already cosmetic or structural.

What we do on a maintenance visit

  • Full hand-clearance of leaves, twigs, sediment and bird debris from every run of gutter
  • Flush-out of all downpipes with pressurised water to clear hidden blockages
  • Visual check of joints, brackets and fall (slope) — we'll flag anything sagging
  • Inspection of the fascia and eaves for early water staining or termite activity
  • Before/after photo report sent to you the same day

Recommended cycle in Malaysia

Because of the combination of overhanging trees and intense rainfall, we recommend two cleanings a year for most homes: once before the southwest monsoon (around April) and once before the northeast monsoon (around October). Properties with heavy canopy cover may need a third visit.

Realignment & repairs

Where the fall has dropped — usually from years of slow bracket creep — we re-pitch the gutter so water actually moves toward the downpipe. We also replace cracked or rusted sections, reseal end caps and replace failed brackets where they've pulled away from the fascia.

A 30-minute gutter clean twice a year is consistently the cheapest piece of preventive roofing maintenance you can do. It's also the one homeowners most often skip.

Membership plan

Many of our clients prefer to set this and forget it. Our annual maintenance plan covers two scheduled visits, an emergency call-out, and a 10% discount on any incidental repair work — currently RM 580 per year for a standard double-storey terrace.
